What I Wore (AQUI) é um blog da fashionista nova iorquina Jessica Schroeder.
I’m Jessica Schroeder.
What I Wore is a side project that developed in March 2008 as an extension of my What I Wore set in flickr and participation in the global fashion pool wardrobe_remix. In each entry I felt like I wanted to describe more of my inspiration and the circumstances to how I dressed myself every day.
I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, hometown of fashion legend, Bill Blass. I am the oldest of three kids to two very loving and encouraging parents.
In 2005 I graduated from Indiana University – Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising, a minor in Business and an Associates Degree in Costume Construction Technology, which was one of the best parts of my undergraduate education. As a student in the CCT program, I learned how to sew using European couture construction. I took classes in basic dressmaking, pattern drafting, millinery, costuming, and tailoring. I also had a great privilege to work at the Elizabeth Sage History Costume Museum, archiving and accessing the gifts of numerous donors. Additionally, I worked with the costume department of the School of Music.
My true birth into the fashion industry was during the summer of 2004, when I temporarily moved to New York for the first time to do an internship with the amazing Betsey Johnson. The experience I had there was fantastic- I learned what is expected of a young person looking to become a fashion designer. The design team was incredible and my one-on-one time with Betsey was priceless. I could go on and on about that summer for hours. It was wonderful.
I currently work in New York City as the head designer/director in the junior’s market.
I truly believe that the clothing we wear can affect our moods as well as the impressions we give of ourselves to other people. Looking your best doesn’t need to cost a lot of money— just a little imagination.
É um blog ottteeemo para ter algumas inspirações, ou copiar mesmo. Já tentei algusn (os mais simples é claro), e posso dizer que amei total. Experimente!
